About OIS
One School, Two Campuses
Our One School, Two Campuses model ensures that our students, no matter their campus placement, enjoy the same high-quality educational experience in premium, purpose-built facilities under the strategic direction of the Board of Trustees of the Oberoi Foundation and in line with the OIS Vision, Mission, and Core Values. There is a synergy between our campuses that results from our shared sense of purpose and direction, the close collaboration between our leadership teams, faculty and staff members, and the strong sense of community among our families.

Our school opened its doors to a founding cohort of 38 students in August 2008 with its first campus in the lush green neighbourhood of Goregaon. Known as the Oberoi Garden City (OGC) Campus, it has grown from a founding cohort of 38 students in August 2008 to 1619 students from Nursery to Grade 12 in 2024. We opened yet another campus in 2017-18 along the Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) where we first welcomed students from Nursery to Grade 4 and is now home to 1485 students from Nursery to Grade 12. Today, our OGC and JVLR campuses are fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Board as IB Continuum Programme Schools running the Primary Years Programme (Nursery - Grade 5), Middle Years Programme (Grade 6 -10), and Diploma Programme (Grade 11 & 12). This creates fantastic opportunities for a collaborative approach to educating the 3,100+ students that make up the Oberoi International School student body.
With two campuses under the OIS fold, we are often asked questions such as:
-
Does each campus serve different grade levels or different student populations?
-
Does each campus run different programmes?
- Do the two campuses operate independently of each other or will they be connected in some way?
The "One School, Two Campuses" approach aligning both of our campuses and following the strategic guidance of the Oberoi Foundation Board of Trustees, answers these questions. Both our campuses run the IB Authorized Continuum programme, share the same guiding principles, administrative guidelines, and fee structure. All our students across both campuses in all grade levels, are OIS students, and we are dedicated to giving them a top-notch IB education. The OGC and JVLR campuses are akin to each other; interconnected and mutually supportive.
Our Definition Of Learning
At OIS we believe learning:
- is an ongoing process that builds on prior experiences, transforms understanding and develops skills;
- happens when we are engaged, challenged and are reflecting throughout the process;
- happens through inquiry;
- can be an independent and collaborative process;
- happens when we are empowered and inspired to make a difference in our world and beyond;
- is understanding the needs and wants for the well-being of our learning community.
